July is a ruff month.















Not only




are there lots of

frightening thunderstorms,










but people in these parts tend to be rather enthusiastic about their fireworks too.





It's a good time to
hunker down with good friends












and just wait for the dust to settle.









some of my friends get pretty creative














looking for places to hide...








and some are lucky enough
to quickly gather a few vital necessities,






get in the car





and head for the nearest hills.














I'm always glad when this month is over!
