Martha's Vineyard - In Our Travels...part 2
Our annual trip to Martha's Vineyard
takes place at the end of April...
the week before the place gets rockin'
Our adventure begins(and ends)at the ferry.
The fare is pretty steep for cars
but you can walk on for $15 round trip
of course, dogs travel free!
Greeted by a welcoming committee of one...
"Rusty"
we stay at the sometimes funky
but
always
adequate
Island Inn.
They allow dogs during the "shoulder seasons".
We enjoy the gingerbread houses
of Oak Bluffs
and the shops and sights of
Edgartown.
( I can't wait to get my sea-legs! )
Of all the beaches,
Lambert's Cove
is our favorite spot
although Katama
and Gayhead
are also
spectacular.
On our last day...
after a tasty breakfast at the Black Dog,
a quick visit with an old friend,
and a favorite house
we've had a wonderful time !
As for romance...
is it only for the birds?
I do know we love...
every moment on Martha's Vineyard !
